The Pitchfork Music Festival is an annual summer music festival organized by Pitchfork Media and held in Union Park in Chicago, IL. The festival, which is normally held over three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), focuses mainly on artists and bands from alternative rock, rap & hip-hop, electronica, and dance music, although it has also included acts from hardcore punk, experimental/avant-garde rock and jazz in its lineups.

One of the best and cheapest festivals in the U.S. recently announced its initial lineup, and it's absolutely killer. This year, the Pitchfork Music Festival, held in Chicago on July 13 - 15, will feature Vampire Weekend, Feist, The Field, AraabMUZIK, Grimes and several more. In addition, according to a release, 30 acts are still yet to be announced. Tickets for this can't-miss festival go on sale March 9.
