Peelander-Z

The well-traveled "Japanese Action Comic Punk" band Peelander-Z is on travel around to support its kids-friendly album "P-TV-Z" (sample song titles: "No More Cavities" and "E-I-E-I-O"). In addition to many looks at the Melody Inn throughout the past decade, the New York City-based rock band has been seen and heard on VH1's "Best Week Ever" and spine TV's "Most Extreme Challenge."

Healing Sixes

Planned to emerge this morning on radio's "Bob & Tom Show," Healing Sixes will enjoy yourself the release of new album "Bluejay" Friday at Radio Radio. Blues-rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa donates a guest solo to "Bluejay" track "Fine Time." (Bonamassa recently formed a band, Black Country Communion, with ex-Healing Sixes drummer Jason Bonham).

Art Adams

Art Adams will participate the Broad Ripple Music Fest edition of Punk Rock Night. Even though the Melody Inn, 3826 N. Illinois St., stands outer the proper boundaries of Broad Ripple, it's only right that the live-music palace be connected with Saturday's festival of more than 70 acts at 15 locations. Plainfield native Adams concerned his debut single, "Rock Crazy Baby," in 1959.

Band of Horses

In May, Band of Horses assisted open the season at Verizon Wireless Music Center, emerging as Pearl Jam's supporting act. On Sunday, golden-voiced Ben Bridwell and his bandmates will headline. Current album "Infinite Arms" debuted at No. 7 on Billboard's Top 200 chart.
