Benefits of eating oatmeal

Sheldon Kalnitsky eats oatmeal every morning. Oats are good source of both soluble and insoluble fiber. Soluble fiber may reduce LDL cholesterol without lowering HDL cholesterol. LDL is bad; HDL is good. Soluble fiber slows down the digestion of starch. Doctors have found out that if a person eats oatmeal there are less chances of him developing heart disease. Sheldon Kalnitsky has found out through his studies that oats are a good source of many nutrients including vitamin E, zinc, selenium, copper, iron, manganese and magnesium. Oats are a good source of protein.

In the beginning Sheldon Kalnitsky was not able to consume oatmeal every morning because it has a bland taste. But he followed certain steps which made the taste better.

• Make oatmeal with milk instead of water.
• Add Stevia powder to the oatmeal
• Add some of your favorite fruits like strawberries to the oatmeal.
